A grey January

The sky in Holland is gray, and Blue Monday was a tough day for the world, but things are going well with Chabliz. We started the year with a Livestream Concert featuring completely improvised music. You can still watch the concert here.

Our next concert will take place on February 2nd at the Ijsselhuys in Gouda during the Gluren bij de Buren Festival. You’re warmly invited, and admission is free. Unlike our previous livestreams, we’ll be performing part of our regular repertoire there. That afternoon, we’ll also be performing a brand-new song—a world premiere! 🙂

A few days ago, one of our heroes, David Lynch, sadly passed away, and yesterday was his birthday. Two years ago, on our Heroes and Foes album, we paid tribute to his TV series Twin Peaks with our track titled Glastonbury Grove. You can listen to it here. We wrote that dreampop song in the spirit of that small town in the woods. In the coming months, we’ll be working on new repertoire and upcoming performances. We already have several new songs ready that still need to be recorded. See you soon!
